A fan of “Napoli” died trying to get to the match against “Milan” without a ticket
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, a friend of the victim allegedly told police that they both slipped into the stadium through a tunnel trying to get into the stands without a match ticket.
Di Lucio, 42, went first and climbed up to try to reach higher in the stands, but fell about 20 meters. His friend’s access was blocked by a fallen beam and he gave up trying to enter.
An investigation has been launched in this case, and it is possible that everything did not happen as described by the victim’s friend, writes News.ro.
“Tony” Scotto was married with two children. Bakoli Mayor Yosi Della Raggione also spoke about his death.
“Tony was a loving father, a man who adored his family and the land. Tony was the son of the Bakoli commune. He loved life very much. Always with a smile on his face. Always cheerful.
At the age of 42, he left behind a lot of pain. He left two small children, his wife, relatives. A family of hardworking people. And many, many colleagues and friends. Competent authorities will determine what happened last night near the Diego Armando Maradona stadium. Now just mourning. And grief over a great loss.
I will always remember him as a young Napoli fan, both season ticket holders, watching our favorite team. Along with many other people from Bakoli. Those were the days of the return to Serie A, after the darkness of bankruptcy. Going to the stadium was always a great joy.
And so it should be, always. To all. A young guy is coming from us. Old friend. Son of Bakoli. Rest in peace, Tony” – Hosie Della Ragione.
