A video showing U.S. soldiers landing in Romania in June 2022 has been released online, claiming that U.S. Marines are arriving in Israel during the October 2023 war between Israel and Hamas, Reuters has verified. video.

Screenshots of the video were also shared on Facebook and TikTok, claiming it was a scene from Israel.

The edited clips shared on social media start at 0:46 of the longer video.

Images from the same event in 2022 can be viewed on the Department of Defense website. According to the caption, the soldiers arrived in Romania to “support V Army Corps’ mission to strengthen NATO’s eastern flank and participate in multinational exercises with partners from across Europe to reassure allies and deter new Russian aggression.”

There is no information that the US marines would arrive in Israel before October 27, 2023, Reuters notes.
