The police and the prosecutor’s office conducted five searches in Arjesh county on persons suspected of trafficking minors. He allegedly sexually exploited four girls, three of whom were on welfare. During private parties, victims were threatened, beaten and even drugged, writes News.ro.

“On October 25, the policemen of the Pitesti Organized Crime Brigade – Human Trafficking Service, together with the prosecutors of the Organized Crime and Terrorism Investigation Department – Pitesti Territorial Service, conducted 5 searches at a house in Arjesh County in a case involving the commission of the crime of trafficking minors,” – it says in a statement from the IGPR on Saturday.

The cited source specified that, starting in May 2022, several people from Arjesh County recruited four minors, three of whom were under social protection measures, who they forced, through violence and threats, to engage in prostitution in Arjesh and Vilca Counties, using their apparent vulnerability

“Also, one of the alleged perpetrators organized private parties where he drugged the victims, after which they were forced to have sex for a reward, in which various people participated. events,” he added, citing a quoted source.

During the searches, 4 mobile phones, 4 memory devices, mini scales and a bank card with traces of a white powdery substance were found and seized.

The investigators said that they kept three people in custody, and later – a preventive measure.
