​Romania have the best defense in Group I of the EURO 2024 preliminary tournament, but the forwards, called upon by Edi Iordenescu so far, have disappointed. The selector has few options, so Florin Andone can return to the national team.

The last match in which Andone played for Romania was played on October 15, 2019 against Norway (1:1).

The striker currently plays for Eldense (Spain’s second division) and has 3 goals in 9 appearances this season.

Florin made his debut for the Romanian national team in 2015, when Angel Iordenescu was the coach. At the age of 30, Andone was also shortlisted for the double with Belarus and Andorra, but did not make it to the final group.
