American actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has announced that he will contact a museum in France that presented a wax statue of him with a lighter skin tone than he actually is, a situation that has sparked hilarious comments on social media, Forbes reports.
Last week, the Musée Grévin unveiled a wax figure of the former wrestler, and many visitors posted photos of her next to her on social media and gleefully commented that Johnson had been made “white.”
Johnson reported that he discovered the situation after seeing a

“You make The Rock look like David Beckham. Looks like The Rock is about to become a member of the royal family. I feel a little insulted,” said Andre Jefferson Jr. ironically, among others.

While the actor said he was “laughing from ear to ear” at the comedian’s jokes, he told his fans in an Instagram post that:
“I want you to know that I will be asking my team to contact our friends at the Grevin Museum in Paris, France to work on ‘updating’ my wax figure with important details and improvements, starting with the skin color.”
French museum says it has fixed “The Rock” statue.
Officials at the French museum said Monday that museum staff will work around the clock on the statue to “better meet fans’ expectations” of Johnson.
Museum officials said crews will also change the statue’s lighting and that the changes will be completed by Tuesday morning.
“He will come to us later to see if there are any other changes that need to be made,” said Yves Delommo, director general of the Paris museum.
Grevin’s museum, which welcomes 800,000 visitors a year and displays statues of more than 250 celebrities, caused quite a stir in 2018 when it unveiled an admittedly stunning statue of French President Emmanuel Macron.
