Several institutions in Berlin reported bomb threats on Tuesday, following similar ones aimed at several schools and media organizations in other parts of Germany on Monday, DPA reported, citing Agerpres.

Berlin’s central train station was damaged, police said. Rail operator Deutsche Bahn received a threatening email overnight, a police spokesman said on Tuesday morning.

Then the police increased their forces at the central station and assessed the dangerous situation. In the end, it was assumed that the passengers were not in danger.

RTL television station and the Willy-Brandt-Haus, the headquarters of Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), were also hit by the bomb threat, police said.

The Federal Bureau of Criminal Investigation has been notified. A police spokeswoman did not provide additional details.

On Monday and Tuesday, several schools in Germany, as well as radio stations and the public television channel ZDF, received several bomb threats.

In some cases, the police named the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas as the initiator of the threats.

Similar threats were also reported last week in France, with airports and the Palace of Versailles the preferred targets in that country, evacuated on Sunday for the seventh time in eight days due to the situation.
