• Art Safari Kinder is launching a competition for children aged 4 to 18: create their own bags as part of the “Bags of Tomorrow” competition. Little artists are invited to draw, paint or model the trickiest and cutest purse and win attractive prizes;

• The main winner will see his bag become a reality and receive it as a gift, the starting point for the launch of the first line under his name. It will be made by the famous designer Simina Filat, laureate of many awards;

• The creative competition for children is inspired by the international exhibition “Bags: Inside Out”, presented this season by Art Safari in association with the V&A Museum, London. 300 iconic bags are on display in the first fashion and design show in the history of Art Safari;

• The competition is open to all children who have completed Art Safari Kinder creative workshops and courses until January 7, 2024. Schools have a discount on courses, and children who receive a social scholarship study for free in organized groups.

At Art Safari Kinder workshops and classes, children make friends with art and discover a world filled with colors and non-boring forms. The program is coordinated by the artist Adriana Florea Bela, who will now guide little Karl Lagerfeld and little Coco Chanel on their way to fame.

Little artists embark on their own journey where they can act out their own stories through an iconic object: the bag. Each participant chooses a technique, from painting, drawing to modeling, and then creates the bag of their dreams. Among the creations submitted so far for the competition are a donut bag, a tape recorder bag, a Panda bag or a miracle cow bag.

The art workshop also includes a free tour of the Art Safari Stars Edition and a Kinder drawing kit. Children visit the exhibitions along a route redesigned for them, inspired by the bags created by the most famous designers and fashion houses in Bags: Inside Out: from Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci to Hermès and Dior.

Schools can also participate in the competition – organized groups also benefit from a discount. Teachers bring their students to master classes, and they learn to create a bag from scratch. Also, children from disadvantaged families who receive a social scholarship and are members of groups organized by schoolchildren can take advantage of free master classes.

Grand prize: from sketch to reality, with the help of designer Simina Filat

The big winner will receive a bag of his own work as a gift. The world-famous designer Simina Filat will turn the sketch into a real bag. Simina Filat has won numerous awards and has had numerous national and international exhibitions, the most famous of which are Venice Biennale 2023, Expo Dubai 2020, Milan Design Week 2021/2022. Over time, hundreds of designs were created, some of which went viral, remaining in the public’s favor forever.

The full list of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes and 5 mentions will be announced in January 2024 on the Art Safari website, in the Art Safari Kinder section, and on Instagram and Facebook. These are offered by ProfiArt and Kinder. Winners will be selected by the workshop coordinator at the end of the application period and announced on or about January 14, 2024.
