Sixteen cars and a minibus were involved in an accident on Sunday evening on the outskirts of Baloteşti, Ilfov County, six people were hospitalized, Agerpres reports.

According to Digi 24, the car skidded after the truck crashed into the bridgehead, and the fuel ended up on the road.

“This evening in Baloteşti district, Ilfov county – DN 1 (direction to Ploiesti), there was a traffic accident between 16 cars and 1 minibus. After the event, out of approximately 40 people, 6 victims (3 adults and 3 children) will be taken to medical facilities to provide them with the necessary medical assistance. At the same time, two more victims refused to be transported to the hospital,” the DSU reports.

Several resources from ISUBIF were allocated to optimally manage the event, namely 2 dedicated water and foam fire engines, 2 rescuers, 7 SMURD ambulances, 1 SMURD mobile intensive care unit, 1 mobile command post and a medical rescue director. (photo source Dreamstime)
