The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms on Saturday the death, in the context of the security situation in the State of Israel and the Gaza Strip, of two more persons with dual citizenship, Israeli-Romanian, residing in the State of Israel.

Thus, the number of Romanians with dual citizenship killed in Israel has increased to four.

In addition, the Romanian embassy in Tel Aviv is in dialogue with the Israeli authorities regarding the verification of information about the disappearance of a person with dual Israeli-Romanian citizenship.

The Embassy of Romania in Tel Aviv and the Consulate General of Romania in Haifa have so far not received requests for consular support regarding the disappearance or death of other Romanian citizens in the State of Israel, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs regrets to confirm the death, in the context of the security situation in the State of Israel and the Gaza Strip, of two more persons with dual citizenship, Israeli-Romanian, who lived in the State of Israel. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its condolences to their families. Also, the Romanian embassy in Tel Aviv is conducting a dialogue with the Israeli authorities regarding the verification of information about the disappearance of a person with dual Israeli-Romanian citizenship,” said the official statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports that until now the Embassy of Romania in Tel Aviv and the Consulate General of Romania in Haifa have not received requests for consular support regarding the disappearance or death of other Romanian citizens in the State of Israel.

“The Embassy of Romania in Tel Aviv and the Consulate General of Romania in Haifa constantly maintain contact with the Israeli authorities to verify information on Romanian citizens,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes.
