The Ministry of Economy, Enterprise and Tourism (MEAT) announces that Romania will be promoted as a tourist destination on the BBC for one month. Filmmaker Charlie Ottley, known for documentaries about Romania such as “Wild Carpathians” and “Tastes of Romania”, is also involved in the promotional project, writes Agerpes.

MEAT, together with Charlie Ottley, created a series of eight presentation videos: four one-minute videos that show Romania in each season, from the frozen landscapes of winter to the bright colors of spring, and four other videos, 30 seconds each, that highlight four forms of tourism specific to Romania: cultural, ecotourism, city breaks and nature, with the role of emphasizing the diversity of the country’s tourist offers.

The videos will be broadcast on the BBC throughout the day for a month starting on 15 October. MEAT will receive 80 broadcasts, respectively 30 broadcasts of videos lasting 1 minute and 50 broadcasts of videos lasting 30 seconds, writes the previously quoted source.

“The 24-hour television station is available in nearly every country in the world, with content available in millions of hotel rooms, airplanes, cruise ships and mobile devices worldwide. At the same time, the choice of Charlie Ottley for the filming of a series of clips became self-evident, with his work, the director demonstrates deep knowledge of our country, being the ambassador of Romanian beauty abroad,” – it is specified. in the MEAT press release.

Eight materials and a video created by Charlie Ottley will be used to promote Romania also at the London International Tourism Fair WTM, which will take place on November 6-8, 2023.
