“It was clearly stated that America will continue to provide Ukraine with constant and uninterrupted support necessary for its defense,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his daily video message after a meeting in Brussels with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, AFP and Agerpres reported. .

He added that he discussed strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities before winter, in particular regarding drones and missiles.

The President of Ukraine became an unexpected guest on Wednesday at the NATO headquarters in Brussels, where he took part in a meeting of defense ministers of the North Atlantic Alliance.

“I am grateful to all partners for their continued willingness to help our defense,” he continued, referring to the discussion of “strengthening air defenses and critical assets on the front line,” including artillery and long-range missiles.

The Ukrainian army has been conducting a heavy counteroffensive against Russian troops in the east and south of Ukraine for four months.
