Catalin Redulescu, known as the “deputy machine gunner”, was sent to court in late 2021 for perjury. DNA prosecutors accuse him of forging a certificate of a revolutionary with special merits in order to receive more financial aid. Together with him, three more members of the commission that issued Reduleska a revolutionary letter were brought to justice. However, this process had a truly creepy evolution.

At the end of September, the judges of the Bucharest Court of Appeal had a terrible experience when they discovered that two of the four defendants in the Catalin Redulescu case had died. Also, their deaths occurred within a very short period of time.
