Rapid – Poly Iasi 3-2 – Impressive first half in Giulesti

The Rapidists started the attack, but after a corner Sergio Busch scored in the 6th minute after the corner.

Claudio Petrila equalized in the 20th minute with a shot from inside the penalty area after a personal action.

After the first goal was disallowed for offside at Alba, Alexandru Ionice gave Giulesti the lead in the 22nd minute with a shot into the far corner.

Another corner for Pauli Yassa restored the tie, this time Argentinian Julian Marchioni finishing in the 39th minute.

Cristiano Bergodi’s side could have scored in extra time in the first half, but Kosovo’s Albion Rahmani wasted a penalty awarded for a foul on Petrila.

The second half pushed Rapidul towards the opposite goal and the winning goal in the 60th minute was also scored by Aleksandra Ionice with a superb strike under the crossbar.

The end led the visitors to attack, and Horaciu Moldovan saved his team in extra time with a header by Jakub Vojtus.
