AUR representatives say they want to bring more transparency and accountability to the process of filling public positions in key institutions of the Romanian state, such as the Audit Chamber, ANCOM and ASF.

“The Parliament of Romania initiated parliamentary procedures for the appointment of 6 members of the Accounting Chamber – 2 vice-presidents and 4 members, as well as 2 vice-presidents of the National Authority for the Administration and Regulation of Communications – ANCOM. Therefore, in the spirit of transparency, we are appealing to all AUR members and sympathizers who have skills and experience in the areas of the Audit Chamber, ANCOM or the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) to send us their CVs by Sunday 23:00. Moreover, we want to understand how you see these functions and how you integrate into the ideology of AUR,” said the AUR statement, as quoted by News.ro.

According to the leaders of the AUR, among the members and sympathizers of the party “there are suitable people to ensure the correct and effective management of these institutions”, in the spirit of the party’s values ​​and ideas.

The Joint Permanent Offices of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate on Wednesday launched parliamentary procedures for appointments to positions at ANCOM (National Authority for Communications Management and Regulation) and the Audit Chamber.
