A high-ranking NATO military official warned that the “bottom of the bag” is now visible for the supply of Western ammunition to Ukraine.
The BBC reports that Admiral Rob Bauer, chairman of the alliance’s military committee, told the Warsaw Security Forum that countries should “accelerate production” of military stockpiles.
Admiral Bauer said that some NATO countries have sent ammunition to Kyiv, although their warehouses are less than half full.
British Defense Secretary James Hippie also reportedly told the forum that Western supplies “look a bit weak” as he urged NATO members to commit to spending 2% of GDP on defence.
“We must keep Ukraine in the fight tonight, tomorrow and the day after,” he said.
