In his career, Ruud lost the finals of Grand Slam tournaments three times: Roland Garros (2022, 2023) and US Open (2022).
Carlos will fight for a place in the grand final with the winner of the match between Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov (19 ATP) and Italian Yannick Sinner (7 ATP).
In the other semi-final, the German Oleksandr Zverev (10 ATP) and the Russian Daniil Medvedev (3 ATP) will meet.
The China Open takes place from September 28 to October 4 on hard, is part of the ATP 500 category and has a total prize pool of $3,633,875. The champion of the title is Dominic Thiem (2019). Recent releases have not taken place due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
