According to IPJ Galati, on Friday, the police of the Braila Organized Crime Service and the Galati Organized Crime Brigade, together with the prosecutors of DIICOT – Braila Territorial Administration, conducted 14 searches in houses in the municipality of Braila in the case of establishing an organized crime group, human trafficking, trafficking of minors and prostitution.
The investigation revealed that, starting in 2014, a group of approximately 10 members specialized in human trafficking, minors and pimping operated in the municipality of Brail and later outside Romania.

Romanian brothers, local leaders in Belgium
In Belgium, two members, brothers who had established themselves as local leaders, would take control of people who were engaged in prostitution in various places and force them to pay protection as well as certain sums charged each month. , namely 500 euros to “keep your place in the club”.
In addition, people recruited by group members entered the prostitution market only with prior consent and through group leaders.
At the same time, the two leaders, in addition to coordinating the group’s activities, would directly exploit several people recruited by the “lover” method.
The income obtained from sexual exploitation was mostly appropriated by the group members, and to hide the source of the money, they used middlemen who collected the received amounts from abroad or would move personally to receive the money earned from sexual exploitation.
The leaders of the criminal group and its members invested funds in the capital of some commercial companies, as well as in the purchase of luxury cars and real estate in the country and abroad.
More than 40 people will attend the meeting in this case.
