In a message sent on Thursday evening, Zelenskyi indicated that the negotiations with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who was in Kyiv, were fruitful.

“Not only about our current defense, but also about our strategic defense, the common defense of everyone in Europe. Ukraine deserves to become a member of NATO and will do so. Undeniably. And these are not only our Ukrainian ambitions. This is the only effective security perspective for Europe that guarantees real lasting peace,” he said.

The President of Ukraine noted that the activities of the Ukraine-NATO Council were also discussed.

Zelenskyi added that during the last two days he had talks with the Minister of Defense of France and the Secretary of State for Defense of Great Britain.

“We discussed, in particular, the strengthening of our forces and the general strategy for winning the war. We are also working on the joint production of the weapons we need, which are important both for Ukraine and for our partners,” he emphasized.

Zelenskyy added that Ukraine has become a member of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which will give his country the opportunity to influence decision-making that will be binding for all IAEA member countries and the entire international community. .

“We will do everything to implement the first point of our Peace Formula – nuclear and radiation safety. And ensure the complete liberation of our Zaporizhia NPP from the Russian occupiers and protect Ukraine and all of Europe from Russia’s radiation blackmail,” he said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyi also noted that he had an important meeting with the heads of the spy agency, and “there will be results.”

He told the fighters that work is underway to provide them with more weapons, including Ukrainian ones.
