Inter Milan suffered their first defeat of the Serie A season at home, 1-2 at Sassuolo, in the sixth round in Italy. Romanian Daniel Boloka started for the guests.

Leaders in Italy with maximum points before the tour, Inter Milan lost at home with Dumfries opening the scoring in first-half extra time against Sassuolo.

The visitors, whose team included Romanian Daniel Boloka, played admirably in the second half and turned the tide after goals from Bajrami in the 54th minute and Berardi in the 63rd minute.

Rezvan Marin’s Empoli side secured their first win in Serie A, 1-0 against Salernitana, after Baldanzi scored in the 34th minute.

Empoli’s first goal of the season momentarily takes them out of bottom position.

Leading Cagliari 1-0, Milan did well to turn the score around before half-time to eventually win 3-1 after goals from Okafor, Tomori and Loftus-Cheek.
