Tudor Buzatu was appointed State Secretary in the General Secretariat of the Government by the decision of Prime Minister Nicolae Chuke in January 2022.

He resigned from the government after his father was caught taking bribes.

Tudor Buzatu said on Saturday about his resignation as Secretary of State of the General Secretariat of the Government and PSD’s decision to expel his father, that “he loves the party he belongs to, he understands their position, it is a political position, but he does not know whether it is right or wrong.” .

“I have no answers even for myself. I understand, I love the party I belong to, I also understand their attitude, it’s a political attitude, I don’t know if it’s right or wrong. I preferred to announce, I announced by phone, I didn’t have time to write, I announced that I am resigning,” Tudor Buzatu said after the arrest of his father in the Observator intervention, according to News.ro.

Dumitra Buzata was caught in the act on Friday night by DNA prosecutors while receiving a bribe of 1.25 million lei. After a six-hour search at home, he was taken to the DNA of Yassa for questioning, and in the morning was detained for 24 hours. On Saturday evening, the Vaslui court decided on his preventive arrest for 30 days.

At the moment of receiving the bag with 1.25 million lei, Buzatu says to businessman Emil Savin: “Kiss the hand, Emile! Thanks again, I was on vacation”.

Businessman Emil Savin, who handed over the bag of money to Dumitr Buzat, claims that he informed DNA only the expert in the case of the theft of 1.25 million lei, and not the chairman of the Vaslui County Council.

In an intervention on CNN’s Antena 3, Emil Savin said that he was not exposing the president of the district council, Vaslui Dumitra Buzata, who was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe, but an expert in the PSD baron case.

The expert would have received from a businessman who is a witness in the case the sum of 714,000 lei for the preparation of an expert opinion on the road modernization works carried out by his company, a report that would contradict his own report previously made on the basis of a contract with the district council, which did not correspond to the reality on the spot.

In addition, for the alleged amount of money, the expert promised the entrepreneur that he would intervene in the decision of the Vaslui District Council and force them to pay the invoices issued by the entrepreneur’s company for the work performed.
