Laurenziu Regekampf breathes a sigh of relief after beating Sepsi

After two matches without scoring goals in the championship, the University of Craiova finally managed to win the match.

Olteni handled Sepsi and stayed close to FCSB.

From the first minute, the team coached by Laurentiu Regekampf took the lead. In a quick counterattack, Jovan Markovic completed the pass to Guri.

In the 28th minute, Lies Gouri made it 2-0 after beating Nitsuli with a shot from outside the box.

Olteni could even make the score 3:0, but Aleksandru Mitrice missed incredibly from 6 meters and overturned the goal.

Literally a few minutes before the break, Safranco brilliantly shot Marius Stefanescu (min. 42), and football player Covasne executed Laurentiu Popescu and established the score of the first half.

In the second half, the home team had a numerical advantage after Badel was sent off. The Olten player was initially shown a yellow card, but after a VAR consultation, the centre-back decided to remove him.

Even though they were playing with a lesser player, Craiova continued to cause problems. Raul Silva came close to scoring with a header, but Nitsuli made an exceptional save to tip it away for a corner.

There were no more important events until the end, so the University of Craiova scores 17 points and returns to second place. On the other hand, Sepsi remains in 6th place with 12 points.
