
Romania won two gold medals and one silver medal at the European Junior Chess Championship, which was held in Mamaia from 5 to 14 September.

In the GIRLS 10 category, the gold medal was won by Maria Anistoroei, and in the OPEN 10, Volodymyr Sofroni also won the gold medal.
Henrich Tudor won the silver medal in the OPEN 12 category. The gold went to Hagan Ahmad of Azerbaijan, writes News.ro.
On September 5, the European Junior Chess Championship started in Mamaia, in which 928 chess players of various ages (from U8 to U18) from 46 countries took part. Among them are 13 international masters, 61 FIDE masters and 21 FIDE masters. Romania had 170 representatives in all age categories.
