Romania’s ambassador to NATO, Dan Neculaescu, on Wednesday, during a regular meeting of the North Atlantic Council, informed NATO allies about the continuation of Russia’s attacks on Ukrainian port infrastructure near Romania.

The ambassador informed the allies that fragments of drones similar to those used by Russia have been discovered on the territory of Romania for the third time. Romanian authorities remain on alert and are conducting a full investigation.

According to the interim spokesman of the North Atlantic Alliance, Dylan White, “NATO has no information that would indicate any deliberate attack by Russia on the territory of the allies.”

“NATO stands in solidarity with our ally Romania. The Secretary General spoke to President Iohannis over the weekend and we continue to make announcements and monitor the situation in close contact with the Romanian authorities,” the quoted source added.
