“We submitted two legislative initiatives to the parliament, with which we want to ban the sale of energy drinks and electronic cigarettes to minors. “Energizers contain substances such as caffeine, taurine, carnitine, guarana, glucuronolactone and other compounds with a stimulating effect on the central nervous system and pose a real danger to the health of children,” wrote Alfred Simonis on Facebook.

The Acting Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies announced the e-cigarette bill after teachers complained that the use of e-cigarettes in educational institutions had increased alarmingly.

“As for e-cigarettes, this bill came about after several discussions we had, especially with representatives of the education system, who complained about a real phenomenon that is happening even in schools. The ease with which these cigarettes can be purchased is amazing,” added Simonis. (photo source Dreamstime)
