A video with very rare footage started circulating on social media on Saturday. Footage shot by a drone, allegedly taken at the beginning of the Ukrainian counteroffensive, showed a confrontation between the Ukrainian Leopard-2 and two Russian ones.

From the description of the images shared on social networks, it is said that the battle between the tanks took place approximately 1.5 km away, but it is impossible to determine this only from the presented images.

In addition, the video images are not very clear, and also show a series of different frames glued together with no clear indication of the time that has passed between the captured moments.

In the information accompanying the video, it is said that the Ukrainian Leopard-2 tank engaged in a battle at a distance of 1.5 km with two Russian T-80BVM tanks. After one of the Russian tanks is hit and damaged, both tanks retreat.

The pictures show how the Leopard-2 tank is firing, and another shot shows how one of the Russian tanks has been hit

Some commentators, however, have noted that the explosion appears too powerful to have been the result of a tank hit, and rather appears to have been either an anti-tank mine or heavy artillery. Others denied that they were hit by a tank, because the traces of the explosion show where it came from.
