A police officer from Brasov was caught red-handed on Thursday while transporting a kilogram of cocaine. The man was detained for 24 hours, News.ro reports.

A former police officer from Brasov, who worked in department 5, was arrested red-handed on Thursday while transporting a kilogram of cocaine.

The man was detained for 24 hours.

He was recently caught speeding 240 kilometers per hour on a city street, and his driver’s license was revoked.

IPJ Braşov clarified that “the person in question has been dismissed from his position and no longer holds the position of a police officer in IPJ BRAŞOV”, stressing that “he disassociates himself from such persons”

“Also, we distance ourselves from such people who do not respect the uniform and Statute of the militia. At the same time, we provide and provide all support to the criminal investigation authorities during the criminal investigation,” IPJ Braşov also conveyed.

According to local media, the man was known for his activities in the criminal sphere.
