Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is set to announce a cabinet reshuffle as he seeks to secure support for his political agenda from a powerful bloc of lawmakers, three sources familiar with the matter said.

Lula will appoint federal lawmaker Andre Fufuka as minister of sports, while deputy Silvio Costa Filho will become minister of ports and airports.

The move follows a series of negotiations between the government and the Centrao, a group of political parties known more for their horse-trading than ideological commitment, a key step for Lula’s legislative agenda.

In July, Lula replaced his tourism minister, Daniela Carneiro, with Celso Sabino.

The announcement would also seal the entry of lower house speaker Arthur Lira’s party, a supporter of former president Jair Bolsonaro, into Lula’s cabinet.
