Mayor Radu Mihaju announces that three LPG stations in Sector 2 do not have a fire safety permit and two others do not have an explosion protection analysis, Agerpres reports.
At the same time, the operation of two stations that do not have an environmental permit has been suspended, and dismantling procedures have been initiated for the stations that do not have a construction permit.
In a Facebook post, the mayor said on Monday that the report on the gas stations in Sector 2 has been completed and the findings have been sent to all relevant agencies for action.
“I would like to say that we are doing well. We are not doing well. Others would say maybe it’s someone else. And this is mostly true. For example, Mayor Ofis cannot close stations that do not have security clearance for firing. There are 3 stations in this situation. And which, from my point of view, pose a potential threat to citizens. Not the mayor’s office, but the GIP can take measures. Two stations do not have an explosion protection analysis. Again, the City Hall cannot take action in this situation, the ISU can. Likewise, the liquefied gas station does not have an ISCIR permit,” Mihaiu said as quoted by Agerpres.
He notes that there are two stations without environmental protection permits, whose operations have been suspended and which have been evacuated.
“There are also stations without a construction permit, some of them have been moved by their owners one by one, we will not track them down. We have started procedures for their liquidation,” says the mayor.
According to him, in addition to specific measures, it is necessary to review the provisions under which the local police operate, so that control is carried out according to a plan established in time, and not only after accidents.
“Within a few months, we had a new leadership of the local police, a leadership with experience, desire and strength. Together, we will create organizational and operational provisions that will put even more agents on the streets and ensure that the rules are followed.
