A 35-year-old man who injured a pedestrian on a boulevard in the municipality of Slatina has tested positive for two psychoactive substances, the Ault District Police Inspectorate (IPJ) said. to News .ro.

The accident happened on Monday afternoon on Aleksandru Ioana Kuza Boulevard in Slatina, and the pedestrian, who was under the influence of alcohol, was allegedly hit while crossing the street in an illegal place.

“After the first checks, the police established that the car driven by a 35-year-old man from the municipality of Slatin allegedly hit a pedestrian, respectively a 53-year-old man from the same place he was in the irregular crossing of the street,” the quoted source said.

After the accident, the pedestrian required medical assistance and was taken to the Slatina District Emergency Hospital.

A breathalyzer test showed that the car driver did not drink alcohol, but the pedestrian’s breath contained 0.96 mg/l of pure alcohol.

The driver was also subjected to a dork test, which indicated the presence of two psychoactive substances, T1B THC and T1C MDMA.

In the case, the police opened criminal proceedings under the article on intentional bodily injury and driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or other intoxication.
