Napoli suffered their first defeat of the season in Serie A. Rudi Garcia’s side lost 1-2 at home to Lazio in their third Serie A match.

Napoli lost at home to Lazio

Last season’s title holder Napoli lost the first game of the current Serie A season.

With Rudy Garcia on the bench, the home side controlled the contest but ultimately lost due to finishing problems.

Luis Alberto opened the score against Lazio in the 30th minute of the match, but the advantage of the guests was maintained for only two minutes. Piotr Zielinski equalized for Napoli and also scored at half-time.

In the second half, “Napoli” staged a real festival of misses near the goal of “Provedenya”.

The chances paid off and the Japanese Daichi Kamada scored his first goal in an official game for Lazio.

The Japanese from Felipe Anderson’s pass beat Meret and set the final score, despite numerous big moments that the hosts did not miss.

Thanks to this victory, “Lazio” scored the first points of this season and rose to 12th place. Instead, “Napoli” is in 4th place with 6 points.
