Ukrainian authorities are calling on Ukrainians in Russian-occupied regions not to vote in regional elections organized by the Russian occupation and asking them “to leave the region if possible,” reports CNN.

“The Russians began to organize “elections” of pseudo-local councils and “legislative bodies” in the temporarily occupied territories,” the official Ukrainian agency, the Center of National Resistance of Ukraine (CNSU), reported on Thursday, reports the News. ro.

“The Russian occupation plans early voting” at home in the Ukrainian regions of Donetsk and Zaporizhia until September 8, CNRU reports.

In the Kherson and Luhansk regions, this voting should begin on September 2, the Center reports.

“We call on Ukrainians not to open their doors to the occupiers and, if possible, to leave their region of residence for the time of early voting,” the DPRK demands.

Voting at polling stations should take place on September 8-10, the same source reports.

“The Russians need this long-term scheming to hide their presence at the elections and the lack of interest in the “expression of will” of local residents,” the DPRK believes.

The center accuses that “members of the election commission” accompanied by the Russian military are knocking on the homes of Ukrainians to identify those who want to vote, as in the 2022 “referendums” on the status of the occupied regions of Ukraine, rejected as a “deception” of Kyiv and the West, News reports. ro.
