The city council of Krevedia on Tuesday – at the first meeting that took place after the devastating explosions – approved the decision to grant a plot of land to the brother of the mayor’s adviser. “This child is sleeping on the sofa, he would also like to get married, isn’t that a priority?”, the adviser said on the air of Antena 3, saying that his brother had applied “a long time ago”, ie. “for several months”.

Sandu Mihalace, the councilor of the mayor of Crevedia, had a surprising explanation on Antena 3 when he was asked about the decision, according to which his brother gets a plot of land in the area, passed at the meeting of the local council on Tuesday, the first convened since the devastating explosions in the area.

• “Yes, it is, but no one there says that this boy, my brother, is now living in my brother’s house. How long will they keep him and where does he sleep? Isn’t that what they say?”, the mayor’s adviser claimed.

Asked if his brother had been left homeless by Saturday’s blasts, the mayor’s adviser said he had never had a home and had been applying for “a very long time”.

• “He never had a house, he was an assistant and not now, since I came to the town hall as a councilor. He has a request for a long time. Yesterday it was not included in the agenda. This has been going on for several months. I wasn’t even a councillor, I had nothing to do with the City Hall when it came to providing him with housing.
• This baby is sleeping on the couch in our brother’s living room. He would also like to get married. Isn’t this a priority?”, the mayor’s adviser claimed.

When asked why the decision was made yesterday, by which his brother got the land, the mayor’s adviser told Antena 3 that he did not know “for sure”.

• “Everyone establishes a connection between me and the mayor. (…) No service was done (…)
• This kid has nowhere to stay, he is 27 years old, he would like to get married, build a house, do something in life. He lives with his brother in the house and with his stepfather (…)
• I was the mayor’s adviser for two months and I have the courage to swear that I did not interfere,” said the mayor’s adviser from Crevedia.

When asked exactly when the application for land allocation was submitted, the councilor replied that “in a few months.”
