Former Prime Minister of Great Britain Boris Johnson accuses Russian President Vladimir Putin of killing the head of the Russian paramilitary group Wagner Yevgeny Prigozhin and emphasizes that it is impossible to negotiate peace in Ukraine with the leader of the Kremlin, reports News.ro with reference to CNN.

In an editorial published in Saturday’s edition of the British tabloid Daily Mail, “BoJo” speculates on Prigozhin’s final moments after his private plane crashed on Wednesday in Russia’s Tver region, northwest of Moscow, en route to St. Petersburg.

The cause of the crash is unknown, but US and Western intelligence officials told CNN it was a deliberate act.

“No more than a few seconds passed between the explosion aboard the Embraer Legacy 600, an otherwise reliable luxury jet, and the moment the Russian beast lost consciousness in its dizzying acceleration to death, and yet at that moment I am sure he was perfectly clear knew what happened,” Johnson writes.

“He knew whose hidden hand was sending him 28,000 feet (about 8.4 kilometers) down to burn with the rest of his Wagner group mates in a fireball in the countryside in the Tver region, north of Moscow – and then, of course, below, Prigozhin’s shadow, all the way to hell and into the deep Tatar pit.”

The person “behind Prigozhin’s murder” is “the same person who authorized, for example, the poisoning of Alexander Litvinenko and Sergei Skripal in Great Britain,” he continues.

“As the detonation sucked the air out of the plane’s cabin, I bet the last thought in Prigozhin’s doomed skull was ‘Putin’ after one of the many expletives the former hot dog vendor was fluent in,” Johnson writes.

The plane crash in which Prigozhin died occurred exactly two months after the short-lived uprising of leader Wagner in Russia, on June 23-24.

Experts wonder if Wagner will survive without Prigozhin.

On Friday, the Kremlin announced that all necessary tests, including genetic tests, were being conducted to determine whether Yevgeny Prigozhin died in Wednesday’s plane crash.

On Sunday, the Investigative Committee of Russia confirmed the death of Yevgeny Prigozhin based on the results of genetic tests and the other nine victims on the list of passengers and crew.

Kremlin spokesman Dmytro Peskov strongly denied the involvement of the Russian authorities. “Everything is an absolute lie,” he condemned.

On Thursday, Putin said he had known Prigozhin “for a very long time” and said he was “a talented person, a talented businessman.”

Johnson mentions the “high arrogance” of Prigozhin, who believes that Putin will forgive him after challenging his government.

“When we watch the horrific footage of this plane spiraling towards the ground, we are witnessing something historic. This is the violent liquidation – on television – of his enemies by the acting head of state. I can think of no other example of such ostentatious and unbridled savagery by a world leader — in our lifetime,” Johnson writes.

“The mask is completely asleep. Putin appears as a gangster, and his absurd televised “homage” to the Wagnerites is straight out of “The Godfather,” he concludes.
