​The mayor of Caracalla, Ioan Doldurea, whose son Ionutz Daniel Doldurea owns the liquefied gas warehouse in Crevedia, where the explosions that killed two and injured 56 took place, has an impressive fortune.

The liquefied gas station belonged to Flagas SRL, whose shareholders are Ionuc Daniel Doldurea (51%) and Cosmin Ionuc Stinga (49%), Termene.ro reports, News.ro writes. The mayor of Caracalla, Ion Doldurea, is in his first term. He is a businessman from Caracal and president of the PSD municipal organization.

11 apartments, two houses, eight plots of land and hundreds of thousands of euros in banks

The PSD mayor has an impressive fortune.

According to the latest declaration of wealth, Ion Doldurya has two houses – 392.16 square meters and 98 square meters – and no less than 11 apartments. All apartments were bought in 2019.

The declaration also lists two commercial premises in Caracal with an area of ​​3,804 sq.m and 951 sq.m, purchased in 2018.

The mayor of Caracalla also owns eight plots of land, including six plots within the city, measuring 1,547 square meters, 188.53, 1,149, 1,000, 7,326 square meters, 537 square meters, and works of art worth €80,000, which he says – purchased in the period 1994-2022.

In March 2023, the mayor sold the commercial production premises to Elena Pilšan for 120,000 euros.

The mayor also has several bank accounts where he keeps more than 620,000 euros and 252,000 lei.

In the previous fiscal year, the mayor received 273,283 lei from rent, 118,632 lei from salary and 64,716 lei from pension.

In his declaration of wealth, the mayor stated that he is a shareholder of SC ROMBULGAZ SA CARACAL, whose activities have been suspended since 2015.

SC Flagas SRL became the property of the Duldurea family in 2006, when an Italian shareholder, whose agent was Ion Doldurea, transferred all shares of the company to Ion Duldurea’s son, Ionuc Doldurea, writes Europa Liberă.

In 2008, Ionuț Duldurea changed the company’s field of activity to retail in non-specialized stores, and in 2016, Cosmin Ionuț Stîngă also joined the company.

Over 10 years, from 2009 to 2022, the company’s turnover increased almost 500 times. From 1.2 million to 593 million lei. And the net profit last year reached 32 million lei, writes Europa Liberă.

According to Europa Liberă, the company also has dozens of government contracts, including with the city hall of Crevedia, which bought LPG from it in 2021 and 2022.

On Sunday evening, PSD leader Marcel Cholaka was asked about the son of the mayor of Caracal (PSD), who owns a LPG station, and this question irritated him: “Yes, the owner of the station is the son of the mayor. If you think that I, the party president, know what the children of mayors or members are up to, or which members have GPL, you are wrong. We are talking about saving lives, and you are asking me about…”

Two explosions at a gas station in Crevedia resulted in two deaths and 56 injuries, most of them among intervention forces. Several people are in critical condition, and the authorities have begun transferring the wounded abroad through the civil protection mechanism. Out of the total number of victims, 43 people are employees of the Police Department (39 firefighters, 2 policemen and 2 gendarmes).
