The Bucharest Emergency Clinical Hospital reports that 26 people injured in the Crevedia explosions have been admitted to this unit, including two patients in such a critical condition that they cannot be transported.

  • UPDATE 12:46 p.m Raed Arafat reported the death of a patient admitted to Floreaska Hospital. It is about the wife of someone who died of a heart attack yesterday. The woman received burns over 95% of her body surface.

31 patients (including 5 intubated) were admitted to the Bucharest Clinical Emergency Hospital (Floreasca) as a result of the explosion that occurred at the gas station in Crevedia.

“At the moment, 26 patients are hospitalized, 3 of them are intubated. All patients were operated on at night with a burn dressing. Some of them were also operated on today,” the medical department said.

“Two patients were transported to Brussels. Six other patients are currently being transferred abroad. Three civilians from the first explosion are in a very serious condition. At the moment, he cannot withstand transportation,” the Bucharest Clinical Emergency Hospital reported.

The rest of the patients are stable or with a somewhat favorable development, the cited source said.

In the morning, the head of the DSU, Raed Arafat, said of those seriously injured in the explosions that “there are no protocols in the transfer of patients with burns over 80% of the body surface … there are not many in this situation, one or two, as far as I know.”

Explosion in Krevedia: one dead and 57 injured

Several powerful explosions occurred on Saturday at a gas station in the town of Krevedia, Dambovitsa County, followed by a fire. Several people were injured with severe burns, and at least one person died. The population in the area was evacuated, and traffic on DN 1A was completely blocked.

  • Second explosion resulted in the injuries of 50 people, of whom 3 were transported to UPU Tirgovishte and 47 to medical centers in the municipality of Bucharest, with burns and injuries. Of them, 43 people are employees of the Police Department (39 firefighters, 2 policemen and 2 gendarmes)
