The Canadian athlete suffered a stress fracture in her back during the tournament in Washington. Then Bianca (51 WTA) lost in the first round in Montreal and announced a loss in Cincinnati.

The athlete of Romanian origin Andreescu did not have time to recover before the game at Flushing Meadows, where she was supposed to meet with Ukrainian Lesya Tsurenko (45 WTA)

The organizers announced that Bianca’s place in the main draw will be taken by a qualifier/lucky loser.
