Soccer player Jenny Hermoso says kiss with President Luis Rubiales was not consensual

Hermoso says Rubiales lied: the kiss was not consensual and the RFEF president fabricated the message, explaining it was an “unfortunate incident.”

“Having achieved the most important goal of my career, and after a few days of reflection, I want to sincerely thank my colleagues, fans, followers, media and everyone who made this dream come true.

Your hard work and unconditional support made a big difference in winning the World Cup. Unfortunately, I suddenly lost my ability to celebrate.

It’s true that I don’t want to jeopardize the many ongoing investigations, but I feel compelled to say that the message that Luis Rubiales used to explain the unfortunate incident is completely false and represents a manipulative culture that he himself has introduced.

I want to make it very clear that the conversation Rubiales mentioned in his statement never took place, and above all, I never consented to his kiss. I want to confirm once again that I did not like this incident” – Jenny Hermoso on Instagram.

RFEF defends – Luis Rubiales did not lie: “We could not use force”

The Spanish Football Federation responded to player Jenny Hermoso’s claims by releasing four photos from the ceremony. The RFEF claims that Rubiales did not lie and that these were not forced actions, writes News.ro.

“The facts presented by the president are absolutely true and he is not lying,” RFEF writes, asserting that the “evidence” provided by these photographs is “convincing” and in favor of Luis Rubiales.

For example, for one of the photos analyzed, the federation writes: “Ms. Jennifer Hermoso grabs the back of Mr. RFEF President with her hands, and Mr. President wraps his arms around the player’s upper back. Therefore, no force can be used.”

In another photo, the RFEF notes that Jennifer Hermoso continues to keep her hands in the same position on the president’s body, while the president must continue to hold on to the player to keep from falling.

Spain won the Women’s World Cup with a 1-0 victory over England on Sunday, August 20, in the final at Sydney’s Olympic Stadium.
