On Friday, a female driver injured a young woman at a pedestrian crossing in Piatra-Neamts municipality and then fled the scene, the Neamts District Police Inspectorate (IPJ) reported.

“After the first investigations carried out by the police, it became clear that a car hit a 27-year-old young woman from Bodeshti, who was crossing the street on a pedestrian crossing, after which she disappeared from the scene of the accident. The driver, a 45-year-old woman from Piatra Neamts, has been identified and searched by the police,” said the press secretary of the IPJ Neamts, Deputy Inspector Ramon Ciofou, according to Agerpres.

The driver was tested on a breathalyzer, the result was negative.

The police are continuing the investigation into the crime of intentional bodily injury and leaving the scene of the accident.
