FCSB started a dream season, managing to win all 5 games played this season in the Romanian Super League. Despite this, Adrian Illier believes that the main favorite for the title is another team, if they work at full strength.

Adrian Ily believes that CFR Cluj can steal the FCSB title this season

CFR Cluj finished 3rd last season and were one step away from qualifying for the UEFA Conference League had they not beaten Craiova Mititela in the play-offs.

Despite this, the Transylvanians did not have a long way to go and were eliminated in the first preliminary round by the Turks from Adana Demirspor.

On the other hand, FCSB have enjoyed a fantastic start to the season with 5 wins from 5 matches, but even so, they are not considered to be top favorites to win.

Gigi Becali’s side have not won the Romanian championship since 2015 and missing out on another title would be a huge setback for the red and blues.

Adrian Ilieu, a former Romania standout, discussed the title favourites, and stressed that CFR Cluj have the best chance if they play at their best.

“The style of play is different, they have better players than last year, the system has changed, they attack more, they have brought quality players and the two Birlighea and Otele will be very good.

CFR and Steaua (#FCSB) will compete in the championship alone. CFR does not work 100%. If they’re at 60% now, they’ll win the championship in one step!” – he said, reports Fanatik.
