Cluj University – CFR was the last match of the sixth stage of the Romanian Super League. Andrea Mandorlini’s team won 4:3 after a match in which the Red Caps led 2:0.

University of Cluj, a dramatic failure, even though he was leading 2-0

The University of Cluj and CFR offered the most spectacular match of the sixth stage of the Romanian Super League.

Andrea Mandorlini’s side managed to take all 3 points thanks to a strong support at the Cluj Arena, although it looked like the match belonged to the hosts.

The game started in the best possible way for the team coached by Tony Petrea.

Yanis Stoyka opened the scoring in the 10th minute of the game with a kick from the first, and the same Yanis Stoyka from a pass to Aleksandr Chipch made the score 2:0 (min. 39) in the goal of the “red caps”.

Before the break, CFR narrowed the gap through Otele (min. 45+3), who took advantage of Myron’s hesitation and executed Iliev.

The match was tight in the second half and in the 56th minute, Awunu restored the tie after Otele hit the post.

The multiple Romanian champion took the lead in the match (min. 68), after a set-piece in which Aeti scored with a header.

Yanis Stoyka continued his excellent game, and the player brought from FCSB also scored from 11 meters, realized by Dan Nistor (min. 78).

The visitors did not give up and continued to attack, and the decisive success came in the 82nd minute, when Jefte scored with his left foot.

Thanks to this victory, CFR Cluj scored 10 points and rose to 4th place in the Romanian Super League. Instead, the University of Cluj remained in 12th place with 6 points.
