
Representatives of the Faculty of Geography of the University of Bucharest sent a message after the death of two young people in an accident on May 2, who were students of the faculty, and announced that the news they received filled their souls with pain and that they will miss them in the fall.
In a message on the Facebook page, the representatives of the Faculty of Geography noted that they wish the students injured in the road accident a speedy recovery.
“The news we received in the last hours filled our souls with pain. Faculty and students from the Department of Geography join the grieving families, friends and colleagues of the two students who died in a horrific accident yesterday morning. Roberta Marina Dragomir and Sebastian Andrei Olariou, we will miss you in the fall. Sincere condolences to the families of Dragomir and Olariou! We are with you. We wish the students who are currently under the supervision of doctors a speedy recovery! A lot of strength to you, those who have gone through this completely unfair ordeal!” said a Sunday post on the Facebook page of the Faculty of Geography of the University of Bucharest.
A 20-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man died on Saturday morning after being hit by a car while traveling on DN 39 near May 2. Two were students of the Faculty of Geography. Two more young people were injured in the same accident.
The 19-year-old driver who hit them fled the scene and was later found by police in Wama Weke. He was drug tested and tested positive for cocaine, amphetamine and methamphetamine. The driver was arrested for 30 days.
