AUR President George Simion on Saturday criticized the government’s decision to double the transit of grain through Romania, saying Victor Ponta should advise Prime Minister Marcel Colak to “ask for something in return”. He emphasized that while the countries around Romania stop importing, the Romanian state doubles it. “Either you’re stupid or you’re a traitor.”

“Victor Ponta, as an economic adviser to the prime minister, could advise the prime minister to demand something in return, at least doubling the grain quotas. This is the night of the mind! I, for one, cannot imagine: either you are stupid or you are a traitor if you do this. All the surrounding countries: Slovakia, Bulgaria, Poland are stopping, you are duplicating yourself. Do you have the infrastructure? Not a porter, because you do not have and do not receive investments. At least develop your infrastructure: railway, port and so on. That is, to take the opportunity to also develop Romania,” said George Simion on Saturday in Izvoru Muresului, News.ro reported.

The AUR president also emphasized that for 33 years, the Romanian state has not taken steps with the Albanian state to reclaim the property in the Ionian Sea, despite the fact that Victor Ponta, the new honorary advisor to Marcela Çolaku and the country’s former prime minister and prime minister Albanian Minister Edi Rama are good friends.

“Romania has not taken consistent steps with the Albanian state to return property in the Ionian Sea. The property, which could mean a consulate in the area, could represent a bridge with that part of the Romanian people that is still alive. Compared to Vlachs, Romanians who once lived in modern Poland, in the region of Zakopane, as Prof. Avram Fitziu from Izvoru Mureşului told us in these courses in other editions, in Albania and Greece we still have a living community, which in the family manages to preserve their customs and traditions, despite the fact that there were good relations in Romania during those years, including at the level of leaders,” Simion added.

“As far as Albania is concerned, Edi Rama is good friends with the one who is the new economic adviser to Prime Minister Çolaku, Victor Ponta. Viktor Ponta and Edi Rama are good friends, but no inquiry has been made about this, no serious step has been taken, just as no serious step has been taken regarding the house of Aron Pumnul from Cherneutsi, and it will not be done in the current government , which is effectively the same for 33 years. We are lying if we think it was someone else,” said the Ukrainian SSR leader.

Prime Minister Marcel Čolaku announced on Friday in a joint press statement with Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shihal that Romania plans to double the volume of grain transit through Romania in the next period from the current 2 million tons per month to 4 million tons . month. “Almost 60% of the total volume of grain exports from Ukraine is currently transiting through Romania,” Cholaku added.
