On Friday, the prefect of the Ault district, Mario de Mezzo, went to the emergency district hospital in Slatina to carry out an inspection after receiving two reports that there were cockroaches in the cardiology department of the medical department. .

After two notifications I received that there were cockroaches in the cardiology department of the emergency hospital in Slatin, I decided to do a surprise check. He emphasized that the hospital representatives asked him for an order signed by him instructing himself to carry out inspections in the sanitary department.

“I told my colleague the medical director that I doubt if the minister of health, whose representative I am in the territory, comes to inspect the district hospital, I am convinced that he will not ask the minister for a ministerial order to delegate him by the minister to oversee this a state institution,” said the prefect.

After two hours, the Health Department was admitted to the hospital for control.

In a press release issued on Saturday by the head of the hospital, Angela Nicolae, she explains that the prefect is not a control body.

“At the request of the representatives of the health department, Mr. Mario-Lucian De Mezzo, prefect of the Ault district, did not provide any administrative document to order this control, nor did he provide the notification to the health department received by the office of the prefect – Ault district, which states , that he has no written reports, only photos received on his personal cell phone. Also on Saturday, prefect Mario De Mezzo wrote on Facebook that he had received “hundreds of comments and messages from people confirming that there are major hygiene problems at the district hospital,” posting some of those messages.
