The gendarme who immobilized the Kostinesh thugs was a Foreign Legion fighter and believes he was just doing his job. Images of him setting up violators have gone viral.

The gendarme was praised by many people online after several images appeared on the Internet of the law enforcement officers who intervened in the scandal in Kostineshti and were in turn attacked by several men.

The man is a member of the mobile gendarmerie group “Tomis” Konstanzi, actively participates in the rugby club, and in the past fought in the Foreign Legion, reports the local publication Focus Press.

The gendarme did not want to appear publicly, but said he was just doing his job and did not feel the need to be in the public eye.

Four of the six bandits were placed under judicial control after a judge from Mangalia decided that they did not pose a social danger and there was no need for arrest, Replica Online reported.

The men were opened in two cases: one for beatings and other violence, as well as for violation of public order, and the second for insult.

The four were detained for 24 hours, and when they left the police detention center, they were outraged by the fact that they were being filmed and began to speak obscenely and express themselves.

According to Focus Press, the four are Raul Nikushor Hryhorash, Liviu Sebastian Hryhorash, Andrei Fichiduce and Mihai Katalin Uika, all from Brasov.

Two bandits, violent in the past

Local media reports that some of the men have a criminal past, including in Germany.

According to Euronews, two of them were previously convicted or under investigation for violent acts.

Relatives of the men told the mass media that the law enforcement officers beat the men by surprise.

Surveillance cameras recorded the moment before the fight with the gendarmes and the police, when the thugs attacked first the homeless man, then the young man who rushed to his defense.

People who were nearby called the police for help by calling 112.

In addition, after a fight that ended in handcuffs on the beach in Kostinesti, an investigation was opened into the intervention of the gendarmes.

“The mobile team of the Gendarmerie of Constanţi will carefully study the image to assess how it acted and will take steps to verify all aspects related to the method of intervention,” the agency said in a statement.
