The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) has issued a travel warning to Italy, where flights from Catania Fontanarossa airport remain suspended until Tuesday morning due to the eruption of Mount Etna.

It will be recalled that flights were canceled at the Catania airport in Sicily on Monday morning due to the eruption of one of the most active volcanoes in the world, Mount Etna, the airport authorities reported.

According to MAE, in the Republic of Italy, Catania International Airport officials announced that the airspace at Catania-Fontanarossa Vincenzo Bellini Airport remains closed until August 15 at 06:00 due to the eruption of Mount Etna and flights are suspended. Travelers are advised to contact airlines for the status of canceled or diverted flights, or check the status of flights on the Catania Airport website: https://www.aeroporto.catania.it/voli/partenze-arrivi/.
