Political and economic analysts believe that the last weeks indicate that the budget sphere will remain unchanged, and any idea of ​​public administration reform is just an illusion. This is evidenced not only by the recent “Financial Rebellion”, but also by countless signals coming from the sphere of power. Under these conditions, the most likely solution will remain the increase of VAT, a measure that will affect the entire population, but especially the poor.

The protest action of the employees of the Ministry of Finance, who stopped work in protest against the measures discussed at the level of the Government to reduce budget expenditures, lasted only one day. It is about reducing the limit to 1,000 lei of the allowance for harmful working conditions, a less transparent way of raising the salaries of state employees, as well as canceling vacations and meals for employees with a salary of more than 10,000 lei.
