A police officer from the Directorate General for Anti-Corruption (DGA) who alleged that the agency’s superiors summoned him to give explanations and allegedly threatened him after he had a dispute in the licensing exam with Judge Alin Sorin Nicolescu of the Supreme Court, gives his answer: magistrate. According to him, the statements he gave to the press after the incident “show that behind the scenes of the system there are other rules that govern these high-ranking people.”

“I was tattooed and muscular, probably according to the principle of “plethos” during the communist regime”

In a message posted on Facebook on Monday, Gheorghe Georgian Choria, Deputy Inspector of the General Anti-Corruption Directorate (DGA), Anti-Corruption Service of Olt County, who provoked the scandal in the DGA, reacts to the statements of the ICCJ judge with whom he argued in the examination room:

  • “He sees that you, giving the first statement, adapted your version, because you probably noticed that certain elements were not accepted by society. Even in recent reactions, he complains that he is a “target”.
  • When contacted by Epochtimes, who was the first to interview him, Mr. Judge Nicolescu Alin Sorin stated the following: “He is a policeman, full of tattoos, full from top to bottom, tattooed, this is a different generation, and full of muscles. , with some of these muscles I still go to the gym to maintain myself, to keep my mind clear, I know these muscles can only be gained with steroids. And I told him “beware of steroids”, I meant well too! So you see I already had a label in your eyes. I was tattooed and muscular, probably according to the principle of “patches” from the time of the communist regime.
  • Being most likely caught off guard by the Epochtimes phone call, we can appreciate that this is the most honest response since he didn’t have time to prepare any script to justify his actions. Hence the revelation of the principle due to which he had such behavior towards my person in the examination hall, physical appearance (tattoos and muscles).
  • The fact that behind the scenes of the system there are other rules that govern these high-ranking persons is evidenced even by the judge’s statement: “I was not evil, at all, at all, at all, neither I, nor Liviu. Just an alarm signal, and Liviu and I: “Guys, it doesn’t work like that. How to talk to your teacher like that, to tell him that he is unworthy. Even if I was wrong in something, guys, you just keep your mouth shut, that’s all, you have to have dignity, common sense, right… Someone else wrote for me, there were 100 students… But I didn’t do it, on the contrary , said “well, let this kid be good, let him get something out of this equation.” But don’t you understand, whoever you don’t let die, he won’t let you live.” Arguments don’t matter, but they are judged on who makes them, and on the status of that person, whether you are right or wrong.”

“Claims I waved my ID in plain sight”

The policeman also claims that some of the details given by the judge “are not true”:

  • “He claims that I waved my ID in front of him. In fact, it is important to say that the written exam for obtaining a license was held on this day.
  • This was not some kind of oral exam where one might think that refusing to be a police officer might get an extra point in the grade, as some might think.
  • In addition, neither I nor the judge knew about the capacity of the other to exchange remarks. So, I didn’t even know that the judge was a teacher because he was present in the room with the other leaders. The fact that you also saw the ID card in the wallet when I took out the ID card cannot in any way equate to your claims that I was in any way using the qualities of a police officer working for the Main Anti-Corruption Directorate.”

“How many such “friendly” relations are there in the system?” / Charges have also been brought against the DGA

The DGA police officer also alleged that through a communiqué issued after his dispute with the magistrate, the Anti-Corruption Directorate “openly supports” the judge’s position “without providing any evidence to that effect”.

  • “But you wonder how justice would be done for a citizen who is not connected to the system if they allow this kind of intimidation? How many such “friendly” relationships exist in the system between people who should cooperate exclusively institutionally? How many other times have phone calls been made and we never learned about them and their outcome? Is this the Romania we want?”, adds the policeman.

In his lengthy message, Choriya also recounts how he became a police officer, saying he had dreamed of it since childhood and his parents worked hard to make his dream come true.

  • The State Administration’s reaction to the accusations of the anti-corruption officer: The discussion was aimed at clarifying the situation
  • “A bullet went through your ear…” An employee of the anti-corruption police claims that DGA leaders threatened and humiliated him under the influence of one of the judges who acquitted Gheorghe Ursa’s executioners

How the judge who was accused by the anti-corruption officer defended himself

Judge Alin Sorin Nicolescu stated that he did not want to harm her and did not file a written complaint. However, the judge admits that he called the head of the DGA, Liviu Vasilescu, and that he sent messages to the police saying that the bullet had passed his ear.

In a statement to the Epoch Times, Alin Sorin Nicolescu says the head of the DGA is a friend of his and called him to complain about how “policemen are trained in Romania.”

“If I wanted to harm him, I would have reported him in writing. The students complained about him: “he disturbs us, he disturbs us.” It was an informal discussion, I called Liviu (Vasilescu nr) who is my friend and said to him: “Well, this is how you train policemen in Romania, it’s normal, in front of 200 students, to make me unfit for the position of ICCJ judge, the one who is 23 years old? So what are we doing with this society, with the world we live in?” that was all. Liviu asked me, “Do you want to complain to him?” I told him no, I never did in my life. I just told him it was wrong the way he was raising them. If it wasn’t for the position of student teacher, then my white hair… No more respect, nothing!” – said the magistrate, claiming that “I did not know that the superiors called him, I had no idea”.

When asked about the messages he sent the officer, he admitted he did so but said it was out of good intentions.

“Listen, I told him like this: ‘Guys, the bullet went past your ear, I should have reported you in writing, I should have taken action with you, that we tolerate once, twice… I hope you understand something about this !” What is happening to this generation is wrong. And I take it upon myself, I go to the press and say “This is not right, there is no respect!”. If I was angry, I would report him in writing, I had university support, I had everything, it’s impossible! It’s not possible, I’m terrified! (Compared to steroids) He’s a cop with tattoos, full from top to bottom, tattooed, it’s a different generation, and full of muscles, with some of these m ‘muscles I also go to the gym to maintain myself, to keep my mind Of course, I know you can only get these muscles with steroids. And I told him, ‘Watch out for the steroids,’ I mean well!” he also told the Great Epic.

The Interior Ministry announced on Monday that it had ordered the inspections after a senior DGA inspector alleged that the agency’s bosses summoned him for an explanation and allegedly threatened him after he had an argument in an exam with judge Alin Sorin. Nicolescu, one of those who acquitted the executioners of the dissident Ursu.
