
Sibiu rescuers have called in the SMURD helicopter to take a French tourist from the Fegaras mountains who can no longer move and complains of back pain, Salvamont Sibiu head Dan Popescu said on Saturday, as quoted by Agerpres.
“Currently, they are involved in the evacuation of a 54-year-old French tourist who complains of lower back pain and cannot travel. It is located on Valea Doamney, and a helicopter was requested for evacuation,” said Dan Popescu.
According to the manager of Salvamont Sibiu, a tourist from Poland, also injured in Fegarash mountains, was evacuated by SMURD helicopter the other day.
“Last night there were two more missing person inquiries in the Capra Lake area and tonight another group got lost and couldn’t get to Podrag’s house. Also, a 61-year-old person from Poland was evacuated by SMURD helicopter from Podul Giurgiului, Făgăraş mountain,” explained Dan Popescu.
