Before we head off to see the Norwegians at Röyksopp or the eccentric Jungblud at Summer Well, we might as well take advantage of the fact that the heat wave has excused us a bit to go out for a walk.

It is located near Cișmigiu Park Artichoke Social House (Calea Victoriei 45)one of the specialized cafes in the city, which has gathered around itself a wonderful community of cool people and expats.

On weekend mornings, the atmosphere of a real event is reminiscent of Berlin cafes. This is the perfect place to start your morning not only with good coffee, but also with a dose of coolness.

You can enjoy a special brunch at DeSoi (Str. Piața Sf. Ștefan 8), a grocery store-bistro located in the heart of the Mântuleasa district. The local people are passionate about everything that means local and quality products, cooking and socializing over full plates, so they designed their restaurant around a communal table that seats 16 people.

The menu is a mix of local and international cuisine, but with an emphasis on fresh, seasonal local ingredients. There is also an artisan bakery, a large selection of wines and a space where local and international producers tell the stories of their products under the umbrella of a concept called #Negustories.

MAT (Mirce Vulcanescu 121) is another place that offers an original offer for Bucharest: artisanal tacos. This is how the name of the establishment is translated: Masa Artisanal Taqueria.

All you have to do is log into their Instagram account and look at the photos to see for yourself that this is the next place your taste buds will take you.

If you’re wondering what “artisan taco” means, this is a reinterpretation of that type of food, so you can try sea bass, smoked lamb and cauliflower couscous, shrimp and mango tacos, or breaded green beans, to name a few.

The New York Pastrami Sandwich is a dish that, despite its name, has Romanian origins that even Americans recognize. And, if in America or other countries it can be found on the menu of many restaurants, some even specialize in this type of dishes, then in Romania it is represented quite little.

But you can find it in all its glory on GRABit Pastrami Bar (Olteni 9)a restaurant in Bucharest that wants to bring the beef pastrami sandwich back to Romanians and prepares it according to the highest standards and with the best quality ingredients.

As for terraces, you can try Open Gastrobar (Splaiul Unirii 160)especially after the heat outside has subsided, because it is a roof that shows that not only the roofs of symbolic buildings in the city are a good place for high terraces, but also the roofs of former industrial premises in Bucharest.

Located in Timpuri Noi, on the banks of the Dambovice River, Deschis Gastrobar has been operating for eight years on the roof of the former Industria Bumbacului factory.

A community of artists, architects, and designers was also formed here, which put a place on the map of hot spots for creative industries in Bucharest. It should also be noted that from here you can also enjoy beautiful sunsets that will make a sensation on Instagram.
