Compared to July last year, the price of sugar rose by 50%, potatoes by almost 40%, and eggs by almost 30%, according to data from the State Statistics Service. Next in the price ranking are margarine, telemea and butter.

In July compared to June 2023, the prices for plane tickets, water, tobacco, medical services and detergents increased the most.

If you look at the evolution of prices since the beginning of the year, the biggest price increases were recorded for plane tickets, fruit, water and vegetables, also show the INS data.

We remind you that a drop in inflation does not mean a drop in prices, but only a decrease in the rate of their growth.

Also, according to the analysis of the National Bank, the prices of imported products during the last 4 years (2018-2021) were lower than the prices of domestic products, especially in the field of meat, fish, fruit and vegetable processing, sugar and textiles/shoes.
